PERFECT LOCATION FOR TWO FAMILIES OR MULTIPLE COUPLES! We stayed here the week of July 4th. We could not have been happier.The house has everything: infinity pool, tv's everywhere (although we rarely used them, we would rather look out at the ocean), fully appointed kitchen, including ice maker, multiple stoves and dishwashers. I cannot think of one thing I would change about Mare Blu, not only does it live up to the pictures on the website but it's even more spectacular in person. When I first arrived it literally took my breathe away. The layout of the house is perfect for a group of people; the bedrooms are all equal each with spectacular views. The owners have done a sumptuous job of equipping the house, every time I wanted something it was at my fingertips. We spent all of our time in the beautiful outdoor living area, it was spacious enough for everyone to gather and enjoy each other's company and still feel as one group. Villa was perfect for our family. The villa was beautiful and fully met and exceeded our expectations. We were traveling with our children and grandchildren and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy time together and areas to get away and read. Teri and Bernie, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home. It was the perfect place for our family, which included our children and grandchildren, to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday. Each family had their own wing to escape to after a long day at the beach or play time in the beautiful pool. They especially enjoyed the optional outdoor shower. The gathering place each morning was the outdoor kitchen, where we enjoyed breakfast at the large table while looking at the ocean. One evening we hired a personal chef who cooked us a birthday celebration dinner and served it in the outdoor kitchen as well. We also hired a steel drum player. The indoor kitchen has everything you need, including two dishwashers an oversize refrigerator and a beautiful sink that had a window which again overlooked the ocean. There was also an outdoor TV room which was next to the pool. It had two oversized chairs and a beverage cooler which made it very convenient for keeping our drinks of "choice" cold. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed watching Mickey Mouse Club while standing in the pool. (What a life!). The bathroom was also part of this great area so there was no need to walk into the house. We also enjoyed gathering here in the evening where we would pull chairs around and watch movies outside. This was probably our favorite room. If you needed a space to escape for some quiet time there was the beautiful indoor living room which included a large balcony. Here we could enjoy our coffee in the morning or a quiet glass of wine in the evening away from the activity in the pool area. Of course during any vacation doing laundry is a must. I must admit doing laundry was a joy especially when doing it in a well stocked laundry room and again with a beautiful view of the ocean. We stayed at Mare Blu with several friends and do not think it could have been more perfect. The villa is a short distance to town where we found great places to eat and to shop. The ocean views are spectacular from all the rooms and the outside living area. The kitchen is very special with every convenience imaginable. There are many special decorative details throughout the complex that are tastefully done to capture a modern yet tropical theme. The pool is definitely special and really like the no chlorine water. Mare Blu was the perfect place for us and our wedding party to stay! First class, comfortable, beautifully and well appointed, spaces to come together or to spend quiet time...all with ever changing views of Rendezvous Bay or the Milky Way. We used recommendations from the Mare Blu website to connect with our planner (Paradise Planning), caterer (Passionfruit Chefs), and photographer (Blue Glass Photography)...all of whom exceeded our expectations. Ultimate Relaxation I stayed at Mare Blu with my boyfriend and our friends the week of July 4, 2015. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. Walking in to the house for the first time is (almost) the best part: the expansive view of the Caribbean, the huge infinity pool, and the numerous amenities Mare Blu has to offer will take your breath away. We spent a while walking around the property and taking everything in-before jumping in the pool! Our stay in St. John was the perfect mix of activity and relaxation. We made trips to several beaches, went on some beautiful hikes, and spent more than a few happy hours in Cruz Bay. Having Mare Blu as a home base to return to was always such a great feeling. Couples could retreat to their bedroom suites or intimate porches for privacy, or we could socialize in the great room or in the veranda by the pool. The space is perfectly constructed to allow both togetherness and alone time. reading a book by the pool was my favorite activity, while my boyfriend enjoyed watching sports from the pool( yes- the pool faces the ocean on one side and a large-screen TV on the other!.) We even spent a couple of days just relaxing at the house all day and cooking at home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare full meals; you will not want for anything while at Mare Blu. We played poker from the games provided, watched Movies while floating in the pool, and made pina coladas to sip while we cooked on the grill. Our last family vacation was 26 years ago but our trip to Mare Blu was well worth the wait. As we walked down the steps to the villa it got very quiet and the family members just looked at each other. We couldn't believe what we were seeing. The view was absolutely spectacular.Then 7 kids jumped into the pool and our vacation began. The pictures that you see on line show how beautiful the villa is, but they do not show the warmth and coziness that is Mare Blu. It is so spacious that even though there were 7 adults and 7 teens we all had our privacy and didn't ever get in each others way. But with the fabulous layout we were also together. I hope that makes sense. Our mornings were spent having breakfast together at the outdoor table with some relaxing in the pool and others reading along side it. We ate in every night thanks to my sons in law who are closeted chefs and the well appointed kitchen. The location of Mare Blu is just perfect. We were close to the beaches and the town but away from the bustle of both. Our host Teri had mentioned that we might find that we wanted to stay at the villa and she was right. While the snorkelers of the group went exploring the beaches the lazy ones relaxed at the villa and never felt deprived. We will not wait another 26 years to go on vacation together. And when we get back to St John we will only stay at Mare Blu. When writing this I had a hard time not saying spectacular over and over....... Read More...

A very hearty thank you for opening your fantastic house to us! Arriving down your driveway and through the gates into that oasis propelled a very excited group to new heights of enthusiasm. We were in the pool within minutes, with the dreamlike view of the Caribbean below and twinkling lights of St. Croix beyond. Every aspect of the home was comfortable to the point of luxurious and conducive to both privacy and group living. From the well-equipped indoor and outdoor kitchens, the en-suite bedrooms, and multiple outdoor living spaces, it was hard to decide where to hang out, although the perfectly sited infinity pool almost always won. Among many stand-out moments, an image of all the men in our group floating for hours in the pool one gorgeous Sunday afternoon while watching football on the large-screen television in the outdoor tv area highlights the pure relaxation and all-you-could-wish-for ambiance of the entire week. Every amenity you could desire provided in a brochure-quality setting. Dining at the expansive outdoor table and gathering afterward on the covered terrace (before inevitably ending up back in the pool) each evening was the stuff of dreams only to be surpassed by waking up the following morning to balmy breezes and panoramic views of a sparkling Caribbean, framed by hibiscus and bougainvillea.
