My sweet husband rented Mare Blu in March to celebrate my milestone birthday. Mare Blu had more than enough room for our group of 12 adults, plus our one year old grandson and 3 year old cousin. We have rented villas all over the US, South America and for 30 years in St. John. I cannot recall another villa that was as well laid out and well furnished as Mare Blu.

All bedrooms are en-suite, and the bedrooms were large enough to accommodate a crib in one and an air mattress for the 3 year old in another. A couple bedrooms had ample private balconies to allow space for those who needed it to conduct business or simply unwind.

Mare Blu is graciously furnished with everything you and your guests will need. Plenty of towels and beach towels, bottles of great toiletries, beach chairs and pool toys. Even laundry detergent for your first loads of swim suites from a delightful day at the beach.

We had an issue with the air conditioning in one room the first night, and Teri sent over an expert late on Saturday night to help. Kristin, the house manager, went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect, and was a delight to talk to. We really appreciated the 5 star service!

Our family had a wonderful time at your villa. The Pool and outdoor TV is a real hit for the little ones-big ones too! Everything in the house was in great working order and we all appreciate the amply supply, of trash bogs, toilet paper, shampoo etc, that many other places don’t provide. We spent a week with our family at this wonderful villa during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The accommodations were fantastic, and the view was spectacular. This was a great base to visit a different beach each day. The outdoor eating and two kitchen made it easy for our group to eat most meals at this lovely home. We will be back again to enjoy St. John's.

We had a wonderful vacation at Mare Blu celebrating my husband's retirement! We had 6 adults and 4 children ages 3-6 and had such a good experience here. We had everything we needed and of course had the beautiful view! There was plenty of room for individual family time, but we were mainly together in the common areas... outdoor kitchen area, pool, and gathering areas. Terri could not have been more helpful. We had some dinners in, but two adult dinners out with babysitters and of course some family meals out. We enjoyed the beaches, hikes and local establishments and St. John vibe. We also did two boat trips, 4 hour day trip and 2 hour sunset sail. This was a great family vacation at a special place with a wonderful host!

A Slice of Paradise-The Perfect Goup Getaway

Mare Blu Villa is pure magic. We recently stayed here with three other couples(two of whom brought their babies), and every single one of us left completely blown away by the experience.

The villa is beautifully designed-every detail feel intentional, luxurious and welcoming. Each couple had their own spacious private suite, which gave everyone space to unwind while still being able to enjoy time together. It’s rare to find a place that offers that perfect blend of privacy and shared space, but Mare Blu nails it.

Days were spent swimming in the pool, sipping cocktails made with fresh bananas from the property, soaking in the sunshine. Watching the Super Bowl from the pool was an unforgettable highlight-definitely one for the memory books!

Evenings were magical-we’d gather under the cabana to play games, share stories, and listen to the sounds of the island. It felt like our own private resort, tucked away in paradise.

The babies in our group had an amazing time too-plenty of safe space to explore and splash around, which made the trip even more special.

Mare Blu Villa exceeded every expectation. It’s more than just a beautiful home-it’s a thoughtfully crafted experience that brings people together in the best possible way. We’re already dreaming about our next stay.

Amazing

The house was amazing and we loved that there were so many fans to keep you comfortable during afternoons in the outdoor living spaces, and they have the comfiest beds for the best naps. The views are truly breathtaking and all we wanted to do was float around in the pool and take in the warm sun and breeze, while enjoying the ocean views. Can’t wait for a return visit.

Our group of 11 (7 adults and 4 kids under 8 years old) had a fantastic time staying at Mare Blu this February. The house was as described and depicted and was perfect for our needs - from the huge outdoor lounge area where we spent every morning and evening, gorgeous pool with even better views and separate bedrooms with en suite bathrooms - we had enough space to get together as well as enough space to get alone time when we needed it. As big foodies and home cooks, we were shocked and thrilled with how well-stocked the kitchen was and appreciated having two dishwashers after big family meals at the huge table on the patio. It was incredibly hard to leave and we can’t wait to hopefully come back!

My family stayed at Mare Blu in the Spring of 2024 and we had an amazing time! For anyone looking for a larger vacation home in the US Virgin Islands, you have found one of the best! From booking through our check-out, staying at Mare Blu was an excellent experience. This luxurious and expansive home matches the beauty of St. John and gives you everything you could want. My family had an amazing time, and we will be back!

Booking of Mare Blu is handled through their custom website, https://www.marebluvilla.com/, and is streamlined and efficient. Booking information, your travel itinerary, payments, house information, and island information is handled on this website. The houses’ owner, Teri, personally responds to any questions you have very quickly and is very friendly. This fills you with a lot of confidence and eases any concerns you may have regarding getting to the home on St. John and staying there.

When arriving in the US Virgin Islands, Mar Blu has a dedicated and friendly concierge, who lives on St. John, and is personally responsible for handling any questions, concerns, or requests you may have. They will meet you at the St. John ferry, guide you to the home, walk you through the property, show you the many features of the home, give you assistance with your luggage, and help getting you settled. During your entire stay this person is a phone call or text away from giving you help with anything you need. They also give you resident-level information on restaurants, shops, beaches, and activities on the island. You get the best inside information on where to go and what to do to make your stay on the island the best it could possibly be. We loved this!

Once at Mare Blu, the home itself is amazing. The home is very spacious and fit my family, eight adults and three children, comfortably with plenty of room. Mare Blu sits on a large hill along the coast of Monte Bay on St. John. You have an unobstructed, southern view of the ocean that simply is breathtaking. Every room on the property has this amazing view and there are no “bad rooms”. So, no matter what bedroom you stay in you are guaranteed an amazing view.

The bedrooms are spread-out along the property with plenty of spaces for you to relax and enjoy the sunshine. There is plenty of room for everyone in your party to gather, eat, relax in the sunshine, play games, or whatever you wish. There are also many secluded areas on the property where you can enjoy some personal time away from your party if you wish. Each bedroom is spacious, clean, and well equipped with plenty of fresh bedding and towels. You also have dedicated satellite TVs, but I don’t think anyone in my party used them as we were often outside.

Near the center of the property, you have the indoor and outdoor kitchen, large grill, a huge indoor Great Room, the infinity pool, and outdoor game and TV area. Using the outdoor entertainment area you can watch a sporting event, listen to music, or watch a movie while at the same time swimming in the pool! The sports fans in my family loved this as they could watch March Madness while lounging in the pool! The incredibly spacious Great Room also can open up, giving you plenty of fresh air (with screened doors). We cooked and grilled a decent amount at the home and had plenty of space to eat, talk, and relax. The kitchen’s pantry is huge and fit all of our groceries. Near the center of the property, you also have a laundry room with large washer and dryer and plenty of room to fold or air-dry clothes. The pool area has plenty of pool towels and pool toys for the kids.

Throughout the property you will have a private wireless network (Wi-Fi) which handled the many phones and tablets my family brought. Slow wireless was not an issue. Air conditioning worked very well, and you can easily control the temperature in every room. You will also find ceiling fans throughout the property. In the evening the property is gorgeous as there is plenty of outdoor and pool lighting. The various stairwells on the property have in-stair lighting so you won’t miss a step. Many of my family members loved taking an evening swim and looking up at the stars. Being away from large cities gives you some excellent star gazing!

We felt very safe and secure when staying at Mare Blu. The home has a gated entrance that can only be opened via a keypad (one keypad at the gate and another near the parking area). Past the gate there is a private driveway the leads down to a parking area. The concrete driveway is steep, but, is wide and well-lit at night. The parking area fit our three rental cars without issue. You will also find the outdoor shower in this parking area, and it perfectly located for washing all the sand off you, toys, and everything else before you head to your room. The home is surrounded by several acres of tropical woods and due to the steep angle is only accessible via the gated driveway.

When we decided to head to the beach, the home has beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys for the kids, and coolers. There is a dedicated ice machine near the outdoor kitchen for filling your cooler with ice before heading out. When you get back from the beach there is a conveniently placed outdoor shower to wash off any sand you may have picked up while you are out. This was helpful especially with a bunch of sandy kids!

In summary, our stay at Mare Blu was everything we could have hoped for. This amazing and luxurious home gives you everything you are looking for in a Caribbean vacation. The expansive and incredibly well-maintained property gives you privacy and luxury. With a dedicated owner and a professional and friendly support staff you will have every one of your needs met. I am confident that any family will have an amazing time here and my family will most certainly be back!

My recent stay at Mare Blu Villa was an unforgettable experience that far exceeded all my expectations for a luxury vacation. This opulent oceanfront villa in St. John offered not just comfort but extraordinary embrace of beauty and tranquility.

March weather in St. John was perfect, with clear sunny skies and a gentle ocean breeze, which made every day at the villa purely delightful. The infinity edge pool, blending into the horizon, became my serene retreat.

Lounging by the pool, I was treated to the villa’s breathtaking ocean views, which were nothing short of spectacular. The sight of the sun dipping below the ocean in the evening was a daily spectacle I looked forward to.

The villa itself is just a short drive from some of the world’s top beach’s, which promised and delivered crystal-clean waters and pristine sands. Despite the allure of these famous beach’s, the luxury and comfort of Mare Blu made it tempting to stay put and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

Every aspect of the villa, from its spacious and elegantly furnished interiors to its expansive terraces, seemed designed to ensure that guests would never want to leave. As my stay came to an end, I found myself wishing I could linger longer in what felt like a slice of paradise. Mare Blu is not just a place to stay, it is a destination in itself, promising a perfect blend of natural beauty, luxury and relaxation. It is a special place we hope to visit again soon!

Mare Blu is well designed and in a great location. We have been spending a week or more on St. John for almost 25 years and after recently staying a week at Mare Blu Villa would rate it as one of our favorites. The owner, Teri Ackerman, was very flexible and easy to work with and personally followed up both during and after our stay to make sure we were happy. The Villa is easy driving distance from Cruz Bay and faces south above Monte and Rendezvous Bays, so it is easy to sit in the outdoor areas both morning and afternoon without the sun shining directly in your face. We found Villa Mare Blu to be everything advertised and more. We travel with our family a lot all over the world. Quite often the rental homes do not have adequately stocked kitchens, substandard bedding and a host of things that can't be seen in photos. None of that is true about this house. It is stocked with everything you can imagine. The upholstery is nicely kept and the grounds are beautiful. Each bedroom is private and they all have views of the beautiful bay below. Everything is perfect. The phots do show how wonderfully situated the home is on the water--amazing sunrises! We had a great week at the home and the homes concierge could not hve been more attentive. We hope to return to Villa Mare blu soon.

A group of good friends (11 in all) stayed at Mare Blu and had a great time. The accommodations and the beauty of the villa is comparable to a high end resort. It's all at Mare Blu, several rooms and outdoor spaces to gather and not always be on top of each other. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to enjoy a casual breakfast, lunch or an elegant dinner. The individual bedrooms (6) are perfect with individual air conditioning, over head ceiling fan, TV and a well-appointed bathroom.That said, you won't stay in your room, it's way to much fun to swim in the infinity pool, watch TV while in the pool, drink and enjoy the magnificent views. Midnight swim anyone?

If you want a beautiful island with accommodating locals, great beaches and fabulous restaurants go to St John and be sure to have the best of the best- Mare Blu.

Mare Blu is hands down my absolute favorite vacation home that I've ever stayed in. It is the definition of paradise and the perfect villa for a large family or group of friends. Every room has a stunning view of the sea. The villa is beautifully maintained and I truly cannot think of anything it lacks. While I love the beaches at Saint John, I did not want to leave Mare Blu during my visit. I loved hanging out at the pool everyday with my glass of wine and gorgeous view of the sea.

Working with Teri was like working with a family friend. She goes above and beyond to ensure her renters have an excellent experience. This was my first family vacation with my 18-month-old son and Teri made sure all of my concerns were addressed. She kept me informed about the latest Covid protocols, ensured my rentals and transportation were set up and made some really great recommendations.

The property management company was also fantastic. Our point of contact, Katja, lined up a birthday cake for my sister's birthday dinner and had it delivered to the restaurant. She sent someone immediately when a screen on a sliding door started to pop out and also when we had trouble figuring out the TV remotes. The response time for every question was immediate.

I cannot recommend Mare Blu enough. My experience with Teri and the villa was outstanding. I am already trying to figure out my next stay. Thank you for everything Teri!

I can not say enough about this amazing property! The views are breathtaking and the house is equality stunning! We had the vacation of a lifetime at Mare Blu. Each of the bedrooms were extremely clean and comfortable with beautiful views of Rendezvous Bay. Our family of 9 loved the outdoor dining area, pool and lounging area just off the pool( or as we called it, The VIP lounge!). We loved how open and expansive the property is which made it great for our large group.The property manager, Katja was so helpful and always available to answer any questions and address any needs. The home owners were lovely to work with and ensured that we felt right at home throughout our stay! What a great vacation we had. This was everyone's first stay here, hopefully not our last! We are flying back home with a lifetime of memories: snorkeling with green turtles, dinner by private chefs, unbelievable views, amazing accommodations and time with family and friends where we had no worries. Our Family(my husband, my self and our 3 children 22, 20 & 18 and three of there friends) had an incredible stay at Mare Blu. Teri was absolutely amazing. Renting from her was the best vacation rental experience I have ever had. She is very prompt to answer any questions and is actively involved in every detail. She made the entire experience very personable. It was if I was renting the house from a friend.

It is hard to find words to describe Mare Blu. The home is exceptionally built and immaculately maintained.

The photos of this home simply do not do it justice. From the time the gates open and you enter the property you feel like you have arrived at your own personal paradise. Th house is beautifully decorated and appointed, yet it is completely comfortable and casual.

You will find that Teri has created this home to open up and share with others as if they are her personal houseguests. She has thought of every single detail and has provided everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you will need for your stay. All you need is some bathing suits, casual clothes, and food(seriously). Thank You Teri and Bernie for sharing your home with us. We had an amazing stay and dream of our next visit.

Teri & Bernie We really appreciate your extending the date for us to visit your spectacular villa when the pandemic hit last year. The wait made us even more excited when we arrived.

Went to most of the beaches within the park, chartered a power boat, swam with the turtles and laid back on the best sand on the planet.

It was our first time visiting St. John and we were amazed at the beauty and kindness the people of the island showed us! Mare Blu was a dream...absolutely stunning views, gorgeous infinity pool, and every amenity one could possibly ever need during their stay! Our days started with coffee outside overlooking the turquoise sea, followed by a swim in the pool, a trip to the beach for pristine snorkeling and sun loving fun, and ending with a fantastic dinner cooked on the outside kitchen/grill eaten on the outside dinning! Some of our favorites were the outside showers, lounging in the chaise chairs outside and exploring the grounds for crabs and iguanas-many were found and some caught for a quick observation by our boys! We could not have asked for a better place to stay and spend such a wonderful week of memories with dear friends and our family!

Thank you Mare Blu for hosting us, we will surely be back! Till we meet again...

Exceeded All Expectations

Once again thank you for being so nice to deal with leading up to our stay at Mare Blu. As someone that has traveled to St. John numerous times, I was absolutely thrilled with Mare Blu and the time we spent there. The COVID-19 situation has allowed me and my family to close our eyes and think about the relaxing experience we just had.Remembering Mare Blu provides a mental respite from our current situation and we can thank you for that experience.

My wife and I honeymooned on St. John nearly 6 years ago and fell in Love with the island. We wanted to share our love for St. John with our young daughters and Mare Blu exceeded every expectation. The villa is ideal for multiple families and the view is breathtaking. The Villa is close to Cruz Bay and the islands best grocery store. Mare Blu was stacked with amenities and the layout allowed us to have large dinners together nearly every night. The set up is so inviting that everyone was drawn to the outdoor kitchen and infinity pool. We highly recommend Mare Blu and we will be back for another adventure soon.

While planning our trip to St. John we looked at many houses and Mare Blu was the favorite! Upon arriving it did not disappoint one bit! Stunning architecture and fun color was just what you'd expect for an island villa. The views are breathtaking and the house is stocked with everything you need from the kitchen to the bathroom and everything in between. We were a party of 6 adults and 6 kids and everyone had the time of their life. It was hard to leave and definitely a place we'd make our home again next time we visit St. John. Totally Enjoyed

We had a wonderful time at Mare Blu and totally enjoyed everyday, every sunrise and sunset, watching the color change on Rendezvous bay. Our entire party appreciated the multiple spaces and amenities. The bedrooms were great, the bathrooms even better. We loved the outdoor shower in our room. Mare Blu is a wonderful spot to take in the beauty of St. John, especially on the large rotating furniture located in the room overlooking the pool and ocean.

We cannot wait till our next trip to Mare Blu.

FABULOUS

Our vacation at Mare Blu was fabulous! We had six couples from South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Colorado and Washington. We all had a fantastic time. The villa is large almost like a small boutique hotel. Finding privacy when desired was no problem. The gathering spaces were spacious and well appointed. We spent most mornings at the beautiful beaches on the north side of the island. Most afternoons we spent relaxing around the huge pool. regardless of where you stood in the villa the views were spectacular. Teri & Bernie have equipped the villa with everything a large group would need or want to have a terrific vacation. Highly recommend, can't wait to return!!

OUTSTANDING WEEK at Mare Blu

We have stayed in a number of villas during our many visits to St. John. I believe that Mare Blu was one of the best, if not the best villa we have ever stayed in. To begin with, the Views are fantastic. Even the ubiquitous telephone wire didn't get in the way. The place is well equipped with tableware, glassware, water toys, beach chairs, etc.. The villa is in a good location, close to town. It was very clean.There are two large common areas for our group to all get together. And most importantly, the beds were GREAT! We had nine people in our group: seniors, adults, a teenager and kids. There is a choice of bedrooms, so that the seniors didn't have to climb a lot of stairs and people can be isolated when they want to be. We were there during Carnival week and ate in a few nights. It was very nice to have a table that would accommodate all of us. The two dishwashers really came in handy. This was a week and a villa we will never forget!

Elegant, comfortable, well-designed and well-appointed are just a few of the characteristics of Mare Blu on St. John. Our extended family - ranging in age from early teens to mid-seventies - had a wonderful time. The pool is both beautiful and useful for lap swimming and playing. The well-designed and well-supplied kitchen allowed the chefs, sous-chefs, and grill masters to express themselves. Cable and Wi-Fi allow connection - if desired - to the outside world. The villa owner and the house manager were available, attentive and very helpful. The design of the villa allows for privacy, for view-watching and for multiple simultaneous, non-interfering activities. There are lovely places to sit and take in the view, read or do puzzles. Although a few weeks have passed since our vacation at Mare Blu, the peaceful atmosphere, the elegant accommodations and the beautiful vistas are still top of mind.

I have just returned from a week in Paradise! I travelled with a group of 6 couples to Mare Blue in May of 2018. We were a little nervous, being post-hurricane, but I have to say Mare Blu was exactly as I had remembered from my first visit in 2014. The villa is beautiful, and perfectly appointed for a group of 12. The people of St John were welcoming and the beaches beautiful. We took advantage of so much...diving trips, fishing trips, island hopping and of course shopping! My advise is to go and enjoy all the island has to offer.

A special "Thank You" to the property managers, they did everything they could to ensure our vacation was exactly what we wanted it to be.

PERFECT FAMILY VACATION AT MARE BLU ON ST. JOHN

Our family of ten, age six months to sixtyish, enjoyed a perfect week on S. John at beautiful Mare Blu! This our first visit with the whole family since the hurricanes. It was gratifying to see that nature prevails as does the spirit of the people of St. John.We spent perfect days at Hawksnest, Francis, Trunk and our favorite Maho Bay with its turtles! We also added a new beach to our list, Hanson. Dinners at Morgan's Mango and lunches at The Tap Room and Skinny Legs were fun and delicious.

Everyone LOVED Mare Blu! The villa is beautifully designed: elegant with attention to every detail yet comfortable and accommodating. There are specious living areas, indoors and out, lovely bedrooms, some with screened verandas and outdoor showers, all with splendid views looking out toward St. Croix. The well equipped kitchen and outdoor dining area were great for our breakfasts and some dinners. The swimming pool was wonderful for the children in the late afternoons and illuminated our evenings sometimes inviting late night swims. The location of the villa was private and quiet yet a convenient drive to Cruz Bay and the beaches.

Mare Blu would definitely be our first choice for a return stay on St. John with our family or some friends.

FANTASTIC FAMILY RENTAL!!!

This gorgeous house was very spacious and extremely well equipped-perfect for our extended family vacation. The outdoor living spaces were wonderful for enjoying the incredible views and island breezes-we ate every meal outside. The design, decor and furnishings were top notch-it was clear that much thought went into every design decision. The kitchen was amazing, perfectly planned and equipped with everything we needed to create delicious meals. We loved spending time in the pool and lounge area. The villa is perfectly situated close to town and beaches. This was our ninth family trip to St. John-we have stayed in nine different villas on St. John and this one was our favorite!!!

FANTASTIC HOUSE

My family loved Mare Blu. There are 12 of us, the house was perfect. It was designed so everyone has space and the outdoor living room was wonderful. We ate all of our dinners there, and spent most of our house time there. Tori the local manager, was always available to help. We have been to St. John 9 times, Mare Blu was the Best Ever!! PERFECT LOCATION FOR TWO FAMILIES OR MULTIPLE COUPLES!

We stayed here the week of July 4th. We could not have been happier.The house has everything: infinity pool, tv's everywhere (although we rarely used them, we would rather look out at the ocean), fully appointed kitchen, including ice maker, multiple stoves and dishwashers. Anything you would need was there, pool floats, beach chairs, coolers. This is the house you would build if you had the money, nothing was overlooked.

LUXURY- RETREAT WITH NO DETAIL OVERLOOKED!!

Mare Blu was everything we envisioned our luxury rental to be and even more. No detail has been overlooked. From the wonderful linens and towels, to comfortable furniture and a perfectly stocked kitchen, even down to the outside lighting!

Teri & Bernie did not miss any opportunity to make this home comfortable and inviting. They are absolutely a joy to work with and the concierge, Drew , continues that professionalism during our stay. The layout of the home gives everyone plenty of space to gather and yet, opportunity to relax in privacy if you choose. We had two families with 7 teens and college aged kids and never felt on top of each other or too much in the kids space. So many great and comfortable locations to relax and take in the sunrise and sunset or get some sun or shade.

I cannot say enough great things about this home and can NOT wait to return.

Just got back from a week at Mare Blu! Wow, were we impressed! We had five couples for a 50th birthday. The layout of the home is fantastic. Very spacious, quiet and comfortable. All the bedrooms are private with a private bath. The house is clean and updated. Far enough out of town for the privacy, but close enough for the convenience. Our favorite place to hang out was the outdoor kitchen/living area as well as the pool. We would highly recommend Mare Blu to anyone considering a stay on St John. Teri and Bernie were wonderful hosts and great to work with. Hoping to return sooner than later.

Mare Blu proved to be the perfect home for our family to celebrate Thanksgiving 2015. We have visited St. John before, and this trip was by far the most memorable and luxurious. The villa was close enough to town but far enough to provide seclusion and a gorgeous view of the bay. The villa itself was very well appointed from the kitchen to entertainment, offering everything you might need. I was able to easily prepare meals that we enjoyed around the large dining table. The second outdoor kitchen area and outdoor fridge drawers were terrific. The spacious guest suites allowed everyone to retreat to their own space if they wanted privacy or alone time. There was ample room for our family of 9 adults! The beautiful pool was also a huge hit. Teri was wonderful to work with and always answered my questions promptly. Thanks to Teri and Bernie for sharing their beautiful home with us. I would highly recommend Mare Blu and hopefully will stay there again when we visit St. John.

Mare Blu provided a beautiful, serene setting for our recent 50th anniversary celebration with family. The manager met us promptly upon arrival and made us immediately feel at home. The villa was luxurious and so well-appointed that it would be difficult to want anything more. The large outdoor dining and indoor living areas created an atmosphere in which our family was able to enjoy memorable conversations and meals together without interruptions. And, the opportunity to enjoy a cup of early-morning coffee on the patio or to swim under the stars in a pool overlooking the ocean was priceless.

The downside of this trip was that it was far too short. A week just wasn't long enough to fully experience the beautiful scenery and uncrowded beaches that St. John has to offer.

Teri was wonderful to work with prior to, and during, our stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family, and for providing many helpful shopping and restaurant suggestions. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

Ultimate Relaxation

I stayed at Mare Blu with my boyfriend and our friends the week of July 4, 2015. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. Walking in to the house for the first time is (almost) the best part: the expansive view of the Caribbean, the huge infinity pool, and the numerous amenities Mare Blu has to offer will take your breath away. We spent a while walking around the property and taking everything in-before jumping in the pool!

Our stay in St. John was the perfect mix of activity and relaxation. We made trips to several beaches, went on some beautiful hikes, and spent more than a few happy hours in Cruz Bay. Having Mare Blu as a home base to return to was always such a great feeling. Couples could retreat to their bedroom suites or intimate porches for privacy, or we could socialize in the great room or in the veranda by the pool. The space is perfectly constructed to allow both togetherness and alone time. reading a book by the pool was my favorite activity, while my boyfriend enjoyed watching sports from the pool( yes- the pool faces the ocean on one side and a large-screen TV on the other!.)

We even spent a couple of days just relaxing at the house all day and cooking at home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare full meals; you will not want for anything while at Mare Blu. We played poker from the games provided, watched Movies while floating in the pool, and made pina coladas to sip while we cooked on the grill. The trip was nothing short of MAGICAL, the Mare Blu opulent yet relaxed atmosphere played a large part in our experience. We will definitely be back!

Our group (9 friends) stayed at Mare Blu in May 2015. We had a fantastic time and Teri was very helpful before the trip in arranging activities, a private chef, and taxi transfers.

The villa is beautiful, with every amenity you could want - beer fridge by the pool was a big hit, as was the outdoor Ts!

Check in was very easy and professional, taking no more than 15mins or so. The house was immaculate and perfectly arranged for a large group. There is so much space that we all felt very comfortable and relaxed there.

The pictures are exactly as shown on the website and the house location is perfect. Far enough from town to have beautiful, untouched views across the island, yet close enough for a 10min taxi ride into the center of town. The northern beaches were also not that far away maybe 15-20mins in total. Chicos Taxi (Mitch Samuel at 340-690-6507) was on call for us the entire time and always just a phone call away.

Chef Johnny B (jrbluzbag@yahoo.com) was fantastic and the food was cooked at the villas professional indoor/outdoor kitchen to perfection. The villa has every single thing a professional chef needs, and easily caters to large groups looking for a relaxing night overlooking the stunning views.

Checkout was also easy, with a wonderful cleaning crew arriving exactly on time.

We couldnt have been happier with our stay at Mare Blu and would be happy to act as a reference for any future guests. Perfect Spot for Hosting our Dream Wedding

The unsung hero award goes to Teri and Mare Blu. Not only did it make for the most picturesque backdrop for our wedding ceremony but our guests were in awe at beautiful and functional the villa was. Location was perfect for the sunset wedding ceremony as well as easy access to and from for our guests staying in and around Cruz Bay.

Teri was not only active making sure the villa was in perfect condition for our visit but she was also a great resource for the months leading up to the wedding with recommendations for reliable jeep rental( Mr. Piper's) and restaurant recommendations.

The layout of the space was ideal for any situation. We were able to host a 23 person rehearsal dinner with a long family style table in the great outdoor space. My brothers roasted us with a slideshow on the TV by the pool. All were able to huddle around and observe. Then we hosted a 37 person ceremony down on the lawn.

The on Island manager was personable and supportive when we had a question. I will try to post photos of the wedding when I receive the official photos.

You often wonder if it can be as great as the pictures. Mare Blu is amazing. The views would make any postcard jealous.

The bedrooms were specious with their own luxurious bathrooms. The outdoor entertainment areas and the infinity pool made it hard to leave to go explore the spectacular island of St. John. Our week at Mare Blu with dear friends will top the list of vacations of a lifetime. We say that with all sincerity as frequent global travelers. The owners checked with us prior to and during our stay. our satisfaction was a priority for them. The concierge service/property management company was excellent. The quality construction of the home itself was impressive. Every need is provided in terms if kitchen ware, towels, etc. Mare Blu is World Class!

Our extended family (13 of us) were looking for a great place to celebrate my Father's 75th birthday and my wife was lucky enough to stumble across the Mare Blue website. The spectacular pictures on the web site convinced us that this would be a perfect location, but believe me that they can't come close to capturing the true beauty and magic of this wonderful villa. We had committed to rent the villa and the transaction was completed, but once the owner knew that the entire trip was to celebrate my father's birthday, she was so helpful and kind; she basically became our travel agent and helped make all the plans as simple as possible for us. We had such an unbelievable stay at the Mare Blue. The views are amazing, and the house is spectacular. We couldn't have asked for more. My children and my sister's children will forever remember our wonderful trip to St. John and we dream of a return to the Mare Blue.

Our last family vacation was 26 years ago but our trip to Mare Blu was well worth the wait. As we walked down the steps to the villa it got very quiet and the family members just looked at each other. We couldn't believe what we were seeing. The view was absolutely spectacular.Then 7 kids jumped into the pool and our vacation began. The pictures that you see on line show how beautiful the villa is, but they do not show the warmth and coziness that is Mare Blu. It is so spacious that even though there were 7 adults and 7 teens we all had our privacy and didn't ever get in each others way. But with the fabulous layout we were also together. I hope that makes sense.

Our mornings were spent having breakfast together at the outdoor table with some relaxing in the pool and others reading along side it. We ate in every night thanks to my sons in law who are closeted chefs and the well appointed kitchen. The location of Mare Blu is just perfect. We were close to the beaches and the town but away from the bustle of both. Our host Teri had mentioned that we might find that we wanted to stay at the villa and she was right. While the snorkelers of the group went exploring the beaches the lazy ones relaxed at the villa and never felt deprived.

We will not wait another 26 years to go on vacation together. And when we get back to St John we will only stay at Mare Blu.

Elegantly Comfortable & Amazing

Where to begin? Mare Blu is absolutely beautiful. There's not one square foot that isn't perfectly decorated as well as functional! The kitchen (inside and outside) is completely stocked with any & everything you could possibly want...Suitable for a chef! The bedrooms are all so roomy and the decor is unbelievable! loved the bathrooms too...very spacious!! The pool area and sitting area by the outside dining table were our two most favorite hangouts!!

The description of Mare Blu for us is clearly Elegantly Comfortable!! This home could not have been more perfect for our group of 6 couples! The Best 50th birthday a girl could ever have!! We Must go back!!!

Great House!...Great Island!...Great Time!

Mare Blu was the perfect home for our families to enjoy while at St. John. We had the opportunity to bring our friends and their kids to St. john for their first visit to the island. Teri & Bernie were tremendously helpful upfront and their advice was extremely helpful and accurate. Their home was laid out perfectly for our two families and kids (6 kids under the age of 10). We had plenty of room to spread out but there is also great outdoor space to hang out together. The outdoor kitchen and pool area is perfect for families to enjoy meals and to just hang out and relax. They truly thought out everything when they designed the layout. We were very pleased with the location as well.

It was a short drive to town and to the North Shore beaches. Their property manager was also very accommodating while we were there. We arrived almost 6 hours late due to travel issues and they kindly did a quick store run for us so that we had the essentials for the kids breakfast the following morning.

Overall we really had a dream vacation with our children and made many wonderful memories while staying at Mare Blu.

We will definitely be back!!!

This villa was the absolute perfect place to share our spring break with our friends. A bird's-eye view of Rendezvous ay made a beautiful backdrop for my morning coffee and relaxing with a book around the pool. Our kids had plenty of room to spread out, swim and enjoy movies in the outdoor television area. We are a group of 17 people. Same group as last year plus one additional family. We are having a great time, but DEFINITELY MISS Mare Blu. The house we rented is called Eco Serendib. Many nice amenities BUT THE Mare Blu EXPERIANCE AND LIVING AREA'S ARE MUCH MUCH BETTER.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Mare Blu! Everything about this place is magical. Twelve of us spent a week here for my husband's 50th birthday celebration and had the time of our lives. This was our 5th stay on the island and by far the best. Mare Blu is perfectly spread out which made it SO comfortable for all of us. The pool was amazing - especially for the guys who watched Sunday football while floating:-)

A very hearty thank you for opening your fantastic house to us! Arriving down your driveway and through the gates into that oasis propelled a very excited group to new heights of enthusiasm. We were in the pool within minutes, with the dreamlike view of the Caribbean below and twinkling lights of St. Croix beyond. Every aspect of the home was comfortable to the point of luxurious and conducive to both privacy and group living. From the well-equipped indoor and outdoor kitchens, the en-suite bedrooms, and multiple outdoor living spaces, it was hard to decide where to hang out, although the perfectly sited infinity pool almost always won.

Among many stand-out moments, an image of all the men in our group floating for hours in the pool one gorgeous Sunday afternoon while watching football on the large-screen television in the outdoor tv area highlights the pure relaxation and all-you-could-wish-for ambiance of the entire week. Every amenity you could desire provided in a brochure-quality setting.

Dining at the expansive outdoor table and gathering afterward on the covered terrace (before inevitably ending up back in the pool) each evening was the stuff of dreams only to be surpassed by waking up the following morning to balmy breezes and panoramic views of a sparkling Caribbean, framed by hibiscus and bougainvillea. I need to stop now, before abandoning all real-life commitments and catching the first plane back to your Paradise! Thank you again for sharing the magic.

What can someone say who just had one of the greatest vacations of their entire life, besides "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart.

My work life and career are incredibly exhausting. Being in the broadcast television business, there are no "off-days". Every single event we do is a moment in time that cannot be pushed back, extended or redone. The pressure, at times, can be overwhelming.

Vacation for me has traditionally involved my family enjoying themselves with pool time, activities and relaxation. I spent the majority of my time on the phone, computer or conference calls.

Not this trip.

From the moment I walked down the stairs to your beautiful home, I felt every ounce of tension leave my body. The next seven days were nothing short of transformative for me. Every part of your home, from the pool to the kitchen to the outdoor shower, allowed me to completely "forget who I was" for a little while. An amazing feat that has never-before been accomplished!

Justin was, well, amazing. His smile and welcoming presence on the dock to his patient and kind mannerisms to his outstanding recommendations of restaurants and boat captains was without parallel. He was an unexpected, albeit, welcomed part of the "Mare Blu Experience".

It is not too often that I can say I was amazed by anything I've encountered. In my life, I have been at major sporting events, world renowned rock concerts and participated in things that most people only dream of. I find most other things in the world around me to be fairly mundane.

My week at Mare Blu was amazing. While I am sure there are other houses in St. Johns that may have more bedrooms, bigger pools or finer artwork, I am confident in saying that none could have a more "spirited soul" than Mare Blu.

As I sit here and contemplate heading to California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Atlanta over the next several weeks, it is the thought that I will be returning to St. John and Mare Blu in the future that brings a smile to my face and warm feeling to my heart. Thank you for that.

As my wife wrote in your guest book, a week of vacation, but a lifetime of memories. Thank you for sharing your dream home with us." I couldn't have said it better.

Teri Ackerman, the owner of Mare Blu, is the best. She is extremely competent and easy to work with. Her understanding of families and how memories are made are reflected in the design of her villa. The kitchen, grilling area, dining area and gathering space all followed together as one beautiful family area which then seamlessly flowed to the deck and pool (what a great pool). I would be grilling and having a conversation with my wife Debby in the kitchen, turn and talk to my daughter at the dining room table as she showed me photos from the days dive, turn just a little more and watch my grandson in the pool. It does not get any better than that. Yet Teri created a place of sanctuary in each bedroom. They are spacious and almost mini suites as there is setting areas in each bedroom. Teri left no stone unturned in equipping the villa with top of the line appliances. Her ice maker keep ahead of 12 people. Enough dishes, glasses etc. to meet the needs of a group of 20 or more. From layout to accoutrements, to VIEWS, Mare Blu is AWESOME!

We're still a little shocked at just how amazing Mare Blu is. From design, to service, to location, this place has it all. The layout is perfect for small or large groups: There are comfortable and functional commons areas like the kitchen and outdoor eating area, but there is also sanctuary for any guest in each of the wings and bedrooms. This means that if you want to retire early, you won't be disturbed by the night-owls - it also means that the kids won't wake everyone up when they want to go swimming at 7am. The kitchen and BBQ were amazing - we put them to great use! The infinity pool was also incredible - the kids went swimming in the pool no less than 3x/day - and what a view! Also, the media room that overlooked the pool was well-stocked with DVD's and access to hundreds of channels. Finally, it was the small design details that made Mare Blu such a pleasure - from the colors, to skylights, to placement of certain rooms and amenities - it was obvious that quite a bit of thought went into design.

Our hosts were amazing - from the owner to the concierge. They were highly responsive, friendly and accommodating. Justin is great - he tried his best to find us some fresh fish! Some of us have been to St. John before so we knew our way around - but if it's your first time, you'll be in great hands. Additionally, everything was well-stocked and prepared for a first-class visit. Finally, the location was perfect, we were just close enough to town or the market for a quick trip - but far enough away to enjoy the views and tranquility that the island is known for.

The bottom line is that we loved everything about Mare Blu, and we'd recommend it to anyone - as long as we don't have to compete with you to book our next trip.

We had a fantastic time staying at Mare Blu Villa last fall. The house is beautiful and completely furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was an especially nice surprise. Most vacation homes are only stocked with the bare minimum of supplies or have old and worn out items. This place was REALLY well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and serving a nice meal on those rare occasions we stayed in. Teri and Bernie called just after we arrived to make sure were taken care of. Their recommendations for food and activities helped guide us for the week. Justin helped us out with everything from how to find a hidden beach to providing babysitter contacts. 6 adults and 6 kids had plenty of space to relax and play without feeling the slightest bit cramped. We really appreciate the lengths that the Ackermans went to to make our stay comfortable, fun and relaxing. The best hosts you could find on the island!!! Thank you again for letting us stay at your lovely home.

Teri and Bernie,

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home. It was the perfect place for our family, which included our children and grandchildren, to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday. Each family had their own wing to escape to after a long day at the beach or play time in the beautiful pool. They especially enjoyed the optional outdoor shower.

The gathering place each morning was the outdoor kitchen, where we enjoyed breakfast at the large table while looking at the ocean. One evening we hired a personal chef who cooked us a birthday celebration dinner and served it in the outdoor kitchen as well. We also hired a steel drum player. The indoor kitchen has everything you need, including two dishwashers an oversize refrigerator and a beautiful sink that had a window which again overlooked the ocean.

There was also an outdoor TV room which was next to the pool. It had two oversized chairs and a beverage cooler which made it very convenient for keeping our drinks of "choice" cold. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed watching Mickey Mouse Club while standing in the pool. (What a life!). The bathroom was also part of this great area so there was no need to walk into the house. We also enjoyed gathering here in the evening where we would pull chairs around and watch movies outside. This was probably our favorite room.

If you needed a space to escape for some quiet time there was the beautiful indoor living room which included a large balcony. Here we could enjoy our coffee in the morning or a quiet glass of wine in the evening away from the activity in the pool area.

Of course during any vacation doing laundry is a must. I must admit doing laundry was a joy especially when doing it in a well stocked laundry room and again with a beautiful view of the ocean.

This was the perfect place for our family (who did not want to leave), thank you again for allowing us to celebrate in such a wonderful place!!

Loved it. First quality amenities from top to bottom. We have stayed in St John several times and this villa was the finest quality home we have stayed in. Great pool that was a joy to cool off in late in the afternoon after a glorious day at the beach. The outdoor room was the gathering point every evening for rum punch and, eventually, dinner. Finally, the bedrooms were a quiet sanctuary. This goes back to quality of this villa. When you closed a door in your bedroom you felt tucked in for the night.

I can't say enough good things about Mare Blu. Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Our time at Mare Blu was perfect and amazingly restful. The main house living area was very comfortable and the kitchen is probably better appointed than your own home with drink glasses, plates, bowls and cutlery for every taste, shape and size. We seldomly went to town and did our cooking, drinking and concocting at the villa. The kitchen and outdoor cooking area, complete with its own set of plastic break proof glasses and cooking utensils, made staying in a pleasure. In the evening we put the kids to bed and played cards in the various outdoor lounges and listened to music or just the natural surrounding chirping away. The bed rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms are all beautiful. I opted for the outdoor showers most days. In regards to hosts, Teri was amazingly attentive during the booking phase, in the weeks leading up to departure and she even called on the second day to be sure we were enjoying ourselves and to answer any questions. In regards to the onsite property manager, Justin, all I can say is he is worth every dime. Justin met us at our boat, led us to Mare Blu and spent an hour walking the property with us to show us all of the nooks and crannies. Throughout the week we had a few questions and Justin would give us info or go about helping us track down what we were looking for. "You want lobsters? I know a fishing boat captain. They'll be in the fridge when you get home tonight" and they were. All in al, this is a perfect get-away. You will be happy in your decision should you decide to book. I promise you will enjoy it!

OPULENCE

I went to Mare Blu Villa for a week with my friends, and it just blew all my expectations away. I had seen the pictures on the internet and expected the place to be good. But this place was perfect in every way. It is an amazing villa that has an awesome view of Rendevous Bay with all the facilities you can possibly need when you're on vacation. Whether you want to doze off on the floats, watch TV in the pool, or have dinner in the outdoor dining room, Mare Blu has it all! Each bedroom is like a room in a five-star hotel, everything is new and made from the best materials. It's located a short drive away from the main town on the island and getting places was easy by car. Everything that St. John has to offer - lots of sun, uncrowded beautiful beaches, hiking and snorkeling, and enjoying a nice cocktail with a fabulous view - is complemented and made better by having your own luxurious place to make the experience perfect. Mare Blu Villa is the ideal candidate for such a place.

SMARTLY DESIGNED, SPACIOUS, LUXURIOUS...MARE BLU HAS IT ALL

The week I recently spent with friends at the Mare Blu Villa was one of the best vacations I've ever taken. Tucked away in a private corner of Rendezveau Bay, Mare Blu is just a 10 minute drive to Cruz Bay, balancing accessibility and convenience with lavish seclusion. With six bedrooms and nearly 10,000 square feet of space, the resort comfortably accommodated our group of seven guests. I found the villa to have everything we needed, and we even elected to spend a couple days of our 8-day trip hanging out at Mare Blu instead of goin to one of the many neighboring beaches. Among the many smartly designed areas of the villa, I found the pool area to be my favorite part of the house. With a fridge, ice machine and HDTV located in an outdoor lounge area, we had access to everything we needed just a few steps away from the pool. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and uniquely themed with some of the rooms boasting outdoor showers. We cooked dinner several nights in the kitchen, which had modern top-of-the line appliances and a cozy outdoor dining area. Mare Blu really has it all, and I echo the other reviews when I say you will not be disappointed. It's the ultimate Carribean resort and the ideal way to spend your vacation in St. John.

Can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Mare Blu. This was our 5th trip to St. John with a group of 10 people. Mare Blu is easily the most serene, equipped, modern and luxurious villa we've visited. From the library of DVD's, to the outdoor grill and seating areas, to the gourmet kitchen and wonderful no chlorine infinity pool, every thing was top rate. I spent a wonderful weel at Mare Blu. It surpassed all of my expectations. It is beautifully designed so that even when you are inside, you feel as if you are outside. Atlhough the interior spaces have air conditioning, the rooms are open to the outside looking over Rendezvous Bay and the Caribbean. There are ceiling fans throughout. The steady breeze was relaxing and comfortable at all times of day. The exterior living space is spacious, welcoming, and relaxing. It is a glorious place to eat, swim, read, and relax. Everything you needs is there. Although I had to work while I was at Mare Blu (writing and on the telephone), I found it to be the most comfortable place I have ever worked, or ever been for that matter. It was quiet so it was easy to concentrate. The property was carefully designed with the highest level of finishes both inside and out. It is impeccably maintained. It is obvious that the owners strive to make sure that their guests have a carefree vacation experience with the highest level of luxury.

PERFECTION!!! If we were told we could use only one word to describe our experience at Mare Blu, it would be perfect! The owners have successfully incorporated the beauty, colors and cheerfulness of the Carribean in every room of this incredibly thoughtout house. Comfort and uniqueness abound in the decor, each room is amazingly private, yet there are incredible open and inviting areas for gatherings, all with the most incredible views. Every detail has been provided for, and once you've done a little grocery shopping, you literally do not ever have to leave the house. The location is a huge plus-everything is within easy driving distance. Mare Blu is an ideal setting for that special event or just lay back and relax, we highly recommend it for guaranteed memories of a lifetime.

I cannot think of one thing I would change about Mare Blu, not only does it live up to the pictures on the website but it's even more spectacular in person. When I first arrived it literally took my breathe away. The layout of the house is perfect for a group of people; the bedrooms are all equal each with spectacular views. The owners have done a sumptuous job of equipping the house, every time I wanted something it was at my fingertips. We spent all of our time in the beautiful outdoor living area, it was spacious enough for everyone to gather and enjoy each other's company and still feel as one group. We stayed at Mare Blu to celebrate my twin daughters' birthday. We could not have imagined a more perfect setting for a celebration! The villa is a convenient drive to town, nestled on the lush hillside of St. John's South Shore. The pictures do not lie, there are vast ocean vistas available from every room. Mare Blu is nothing like the typical St. John villa (we've seen many of them personally): it is vibrantly decorated with rich color and artwork. Every room is so different and so comfortable; the owners have thoughtfully detailed the home with unique touches that made entertaining fun and easy.

Pictures can't do this fabulous villa justice! Everything is absolutely perfect from the amazing lounge chairs by the infinity pool to the decor and artwork. This contemporary villa is made for relaxation in the best of style. The bedrooms are super comfortable, the linens are plush, each bedroom has its own private bath and doors you can open to feel the ocean breezes. The kitchens, both outdoor and indoor are expertly stocked with all necessities. The entertainment system is great and adds to the overall experience. One of our favorite things about Mare Blu is that from every room and the patio the view of the Caribbean is spectacular. We can't say enough about the vacation we had at Mare Blu. As if the fabulous house and great location on St. John isn't enough, the landscaping is awesome, too. We even had fresh limes from the tree in our drinks. No detail is forgotten here - we highly recommend this property.

We stayed at Mare Blu with several friends and do not think it could have been more perfect. The villa is a short distance to town where we found great places to eat and to shop. The ocean views are spectacular from all the rooms and the outside living area. The kitchen is very special with every convenience imaginable. There are many special decorative details throughout the complex that are tastefully done to capture a modern yet tropical theme. The pool is definitely special and really like the no chlorine water. If you want to relax, and enjoy St. John in a very special setting, then Mare Blu is the perfect place.

St. John has been our favorite vacation spot for many years, but this was our first home rental. It was beyond our expectations! We highly recommend Mare Blu - every detail thought of for your maximum comfort, and an exceptional view from every room. Our family did not want to leave & can't wait to get back. You will be well taken care of by the property managers/staff and the owners are truly interested in guests enjoying their home. An easy drive to any place you might want to go, but you won't want to leave often or for very long! This is a very special gathering spot for a family or a group of friends. I'm just looking over the photo album of my daughter's wedding, last August, and Mare Blu was the absolute highlight of our week. We hosted 25 people every evening for a party where everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We were able to do our own cooking, the views are breathtaking, and most of the guests just wanted to hang around the pool. The Westin Hotel took care of the wedding ceremony and reception but everything else was at Mare Blu. It would be my first choice for vacation or any kind of celebration at any time of the year. We remain so grateful to the owners of the house for their generosity. It was even more spectacular than we imagined and one of the highlights of our entire lives! Since 6 couples chipped in, the cost was much less than the local hotels and we did not have to eat out every night. My family will definitely go back to St. John, specifically for Mare Blu.

My husband and I stayed at Mare Blu with friends in Jan. 2011. Absolutely unbelievable! Brand new and immaculate. Luxury in every creative, contemporary detail from bedding to the kitchen dishes and accessories. I felt like I had over indulged on a shopping spree to West Elm and Williams Sonoma! Spectacular views of Rendeovous Bay from every room, including the bathrooms with their indoor and outdoor showers! Great location with Cruz Bay 10 minutes down the hill and the National Park beaches ten minutes up the hill. Expensive, but for a six bedroom estate with so much class, it is worth every penny. Also, the owners offer a fair deal basing the rate on the number of bedrooms rented. We sat in the no chlorine infinity pool watching a gorgeous sunset on one side of the pool and the NFL playoffs on the other. Since the Saints were losing it helped that we could grab a beer out of the refrigerated drawer under the TV four steps from the pool. See what I mean about thoughtful details!!

Friends and I spent my 40th Birthday week celebration at Mare Blu and it was more than I ever expected!! St. John is my favorite Caribbean spot and this house tops all other stays in the past(villas, Caneel Bay, locations on St. Thomas). It was a shame that we did not have more people (we had 6) because we wanted to share the experience with the rest of our friends! The house is amazing with every amenity(we couldn't think of anything we were missing). A fabulous view and convenient to town.

We fell in love with Mare Blu and will definitely be back!! No question. Teri, the owner, was great to work with. I miss it so much-I'm ready for St. John again.

In January, my husband and I spent a week at Mare Blu with several other couples. I was absolutely awestruck the first time I set foot in this striking vacation home. Everywhere you look there are spectacular ocean views framed in brilliant color by a rambling garden of native plants. These stunning views not only extended to our bedroom with the private screened porch but beyond to our luxurious bathroom with the outdoor shower. Every room is beautifully furnished and decorated yet sill inviting and comfortable. And you can't have too many cooks in the kitchen here. The kitchen is big, beautiful and has every imaginable moder convenience, including two dishwashers and every pot, pan, gadget, and utensil one could ever need or want..and then some. I loved this kitchen so much that it actually inspired me to bake on my vacation, an unprecedented event. At the center of Mare Blu is an enormous outdoor patio filled with cozy lounge chairs, chaises and couches We spent much of our time in this wonderful space...reading, swimming, eating and socializing while taking in the beauty of the Caribbean. My husband, beer in hand, found his personal heaven-on-earth while watching football on the outdoor big screen from a float in the pool. "It doesn't get better than this" he said. Every evening, we listened to music blended frozen drinks and gathered around the big patio dining table for our version of happy hour...happy hourZZZ! This is the ultimate vacation house. The only negative about our stay at Mare Blu is that...it came to an end.
