We had a fantastic time staying at Mare Blu Villa last fall. The house is beautiful and completely furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was an especially nice surprise. Most vacation homes are only stocked with the bare minimum of supplies or have old and worn out items. This place was REALLY well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and serving a nice meal on those rare occasions we stayed in. Teri and Bernie called just after we arrived to make sure were taken care of. Their recommendations for food and activities helped guide us for the week. Justin helped us out with everything from how to find a hidden beach to providing babysitter contacts. 6 adults and 6 kids had plenty of space to relax and play without feeling the slightest bit cramped. Mare Blu was amazing! Expectations were exceeded! You often wonder if it can be as great as the pictures. Mare Blu is amazing. The views would make any postcard jealous. The bedrooms were specious with their own luxurious bathrooms. The outdoor entertainment areas and the infinity pool made it hard to leave to go explore the spectacular island of St. John. Our week at Mare Blu with dear friends will top the list of vacations of a lifetime. We say that with all sincerity as frequent global travelers. I spent a wonderful weel at Mare Blu. It surpassed all of my expectations. It is beautifully designed so that even when you are inside, you feel as if you are outside. Atlhough the interior spaces have air conditioning, the rooms are open to the outside looking over Rendezvous Bay and the Caribbean. There are ceiling fans throughout. The steady breeze was relaxing and comfortable at all times of day. The exterior living space is spacious, welcoming, and relaxing. It is a glorious place to eat, swim, read, and relax. Everything you needs is there. Although I had to work while I was at Mare Blu (writing and on the telephone), I found it to be the most comfortable place I have ever worked, or ever been for that matter. It was quiet so it was easy to concentrate. The property was carefully designed with the highest level of finishes both inside and out. It is impeccably maintained. Our family had the opportunity to stay at Mare Blu in 2024 and just a month ago in 2026. I can’t say enough about how beautiful Mare blu is from a location & scenic view standpoint, but also from an accommodation standpoint, where it has EVERYTHING that you may need. Another huge positive about Mare Blu is the support from the owner on any issue is quickly resolved through their local staff. I know that we will be going back again to Mare Blu, because it has now become a great home away from home in my favorite place on earth, St. John USVI. PERFECT FAMILY VACATION AT MARE BLU ON ST. JOHN Our family of ten, age six months to sixtyish, enjoyed a perfect week on S. John at beautiful Mare Blu! This our first visit with the whole family since the hurricanes. It was gratifying to see that nature prevails as does the spirit of the people of St. John.We spent perfect days at Hawksnest, Francis, Trunk and our favorite Maho Bay with its turtles! We also added a new beach to our list, Hanson. Dinners at Morgan's Mango and lunches at The Tap Room and Skinny Legs were fun and delicious. Everyone LOVED Mare Blu! The villa is beautifully designed: elegant with attention to every detail yet comfortable and accommodating. There are specious living areas, indoors and out, lovely bedrooms, some with screened verandas and outdoor showers, all with splendid views looking out toward St. Croix. The well equipped kitchen and outdoor dining area were great for our breakfasts and some dinners. The swimming pool was wonderful for the children in the late afternoons and illuminated our evenings sometimes inviting late night swims. The location of the villa was private and quiet yet a convenient drive to Cruz Bay and the beaches. Friends and I spent my 40th Birthday week celebration at Mare Blu and it was more than I ever expected!! St. John is my favorite Caribbean spot and this house tops all other stays in the past(villas, Caneel Bay, locations on St. Thomas). It was a shame that we did not have more people (we had 6) because we wanted to share the experience with the rest of our friends! The house is amazing with every amenity(we couldn't think of anything we were missing). A fabulous view and convenient to town. We fell in love with Mare Blu and will definitely be back!! We found Villa Mare Blu to be everything advertised and more. We travel with our family a lot all over the world. Quite often the rental homes do not have adequately stocked kitchens, substandard bedding and a host of things that can't be seen in photos. None of that is true about this house. It is stocked with everything you can imagine. The upholstery is nicely kept and the grounds are beautiful. Each bedroom is private and they all have views of the beautiful bay below. Everything is perfect. The phots do show how wonderfully situated the home is on the water--amazing sunrises! We spent a week with our family at this wonderful villa during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The accommodations were fantastic, and the view was spectacular. This was a great base to visit a different beach each day. The outdoor eating and two kitchen made it easy for our group to eat most meals at this lovely home. A Slice of Paradise-The Perfect Goup Getaway Mare Blu Villa is pure magic. We recently stayed here with three other couples(two of whom brought their babies), and every single one of us left completely blown away by the experience. The villa is beautifully designed-every detail feel intentional, luxurious and welcoming. Each couple had their own spacious private suite, which gave everyone space to unwind while still being able to enjoy time together. It’s rare to find a place that offers that perfect blend of privacy and shared space, but Mare Blu nails it. Days were spent swimming in the pool, sipping cocktails made with fresh bananas from the property, soaking in the sunshine. Watching the Super Bowl from the pool was an unforgettable highlight-definitely one for the memory books! Evenings were magical-we’d gather under the cabana to play games, share stories, and listen to the sounds of the island. It felt like our own private resort, tucked away in paradise. The babies in our group had an amazing time too-plenty of safe space to explore and splash around, which made the trip even more special. Mare Blu Villa exceeded every expectation.
