My recent stay at Mare Blu Villa was an unforgettable experience that far exceeded all my expectations for a luxury vacation. This opulent oceanfront villa in St. John offered not just comfort but extraordinary embrace of beauty and tranquility. March weather in St. John was perfect, with clear sunny skies and a gentle ocean breeze, which made every day at the villa purely delightful. The infinity edge pool, blending into the horizon, became my serene retreat. Lounging by the pool, I was treated to the villa’s breathtaking ocean views, which were nothing short of spectacular. The sight of the sun dipping below the ocean in the evening was a daily spectacle I looked forward to. My husband and I stayed at Mare Blu with friends in Jan. 2011. Absolutely unbelievable! Brand new and immaculate. Luxury in every creative, contemporary detail from bedding to the kitchen dishes and accessories. I felt like I had over indulged on a shopping spree to West Elm and Williams Sonoma! Spectacular views of Rendeovous Bay from every room, including the bathrooms with their indoor and outdoor showers! Great location with Cruz Bay 10 minutes down the hill and the National Park beaches ten minutes up the hill. Expensive, but for a six bedroom estate with so much class, it is worth every penny. Also, the owners offer a fair deal basing the rate on the number of bedrooms rented. We sat in the no chlorine infinity pool watching a gorgeous sunset on one side of the pool and the NFL playoffs on the other. Mare Blu was amazing! Expectations were exceeded! You often wonder if it can be as great as the pictures. Mare Blu is amazing. The views would make any postcard jealous. The bedrooms were specious with their own luxurious bathrooms. The outdoor entertainment areas and the infinity pool made it hard to leave to go explore the spectacular island of St. John. Our week at Mare Blu with dear friends will top the list of vacations of a lifetime. We say that with all sincerity as frequent global travelers. This villa was the absolute perfect place to share our spring break with our friends. A bird's-eye view of Rendezvous ay made a beautiful backdrop for my morning coffee and relaxing with a book around the pool. Our kids had plenty of room to spread out, swim and enjoy movies in the outdoor television area. FANTASTIC HOUSE My family loved Mare Blu. There are 12 of us, the house was perfect. It was designed so everyone has space and the outdoor living room was wonderful. Just got back from a week at Mare Blu! Wow, were we impressed! We had five couples for a 50th birthday. The layout of the home is fantastic. Very spacious, quiet and comfortable. All the bedrooms are private with a private bath. The house is clean and updated. Far enough out of town for the privacy, but close enough for the convenience. Our favorite place to hang out was the outdoor kitchen/living area as well as the pool. We would highly recommend Mare Blu to anyone considering a stay on St John. In January, my husband and I spent a week at Mare Blu with several other couples. I was absolutely awestruck the first time I set foot in this striking vacation home. Everywhere you look there are spectacular ocean views framed in brilliant color by a rambling garden of native plants. These stunning views not only extended to our bedroom with the private screened porch but beyond to our luxurious bathroom with the outdoor shower. Every room is beautifully furnished and decorated yet sill inviting and comfortable. And you can't have too many cooks in the kitchen here. The kitchen is big, beautiful and has every imaginable moder convenience, including two dishwashers and every pot, pan, gadget, and utensil one could ever need or want..and then some. I loved this kitchen so much that it actually inspired me to bake on my vacation, an unprecedented event. At the center of Mare Blu is an enormous outdoor patio filled with cozy lounge chairs, chaises and couches We spent much of our time in this wonderful space...reading, swimming, eating and socializing while taking in the beauty of the Caribbean. My husband, beer in hand, found his personal heaven-on-earth while watching football on the outdoor big screen from a float in the pool. "It doesn't get better than this" he said. FANTASTIC FAMILY RENTAL!!! This gorgeous house was very spacious and extremely well equipped-perfect for our extended family vacation. The outdoor living spaces were wonderful for enjoying the incredible views and island breezes-we ate every meal outside. The design, decor and furnishings were top notch-it was clear that much thought went into every design decision. The kitchen was amazing, perfectly planned and equipped with everything we needed to create delicious meals. We loved spending time in the pool and lounge area. The villa is perfectly situated close to town and beaches. This was our ninth family trip to St. John-we have stayed in nine different villas on St. John and this one was our favorite!!! PERFECTION!!! If we were told we could use only one word to describe our experience at Mare Blu, it would be perfect! The owners have successfully incorporated the beauty, colors and cheerfulness of the Carribean in every room of this incredibly thoughtout house. Comfort and uniqueness abound in the decor, each room is amazingly private, yet there are incredible open and inviting areas for gatherings, all with the most incredible views. Every detail has been provided for, and once you've done a little grocery shopping, you literally do not ever have to leave the house. The location is a huge plus-everything is within easy driving distance.
